You can get picked up by oncoming moving radar, even if there is a car in front of you. Any decent radar set will jump between multiple cars (intentionally). And I will say it yet again, radar is a confirmation tool. It is used to confirm visual speed estimates, even a "holy shit that guy is moving" estimate. So on top of all that, even without radar, in most states police officers are certified to visually estimate speed. You can try and "fight" it, but legally it appears you don't have much of an argument.
